Insurance fraud is an increasing problem and investigators are often misled when injuries are exaggerated or mental disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder or depression is feigned. False claims can also be found in the workplace; fabricated allegations of sexual, racial or religious harassment or intimidation between colleagues are, unfortunately, becoming more prevalent. Such incidents have a major negative impact on the workplace and stability of the whole workforce. By focusing on the behavioural aspects of the case, psychological statement analysis and the reliability of the claimant, we provide investigative suggestions and contribute to the truth finding process. Additionally a professional interview strategy advice is offered in order to successfully gather all the information required to eliminate or minimise fraud.
